U11s back in action in the Wessex Cross Country league

Despite the wet start to the day, the weather cleared up as soon as the tent was erected and the athletes enjoyed a fine day at Canford Heath in the first Wessex Cross Country league match.
nUp first were the u11 girls and first home for Winchester was Hallie Eldridge in 4th place followed by Bella Webley 6th and Imogen Allbut 7th to secure the first team place. Just behind them to complete the second Winchester team was Alice Humphries 9th, Naomi Hurford-Potter 14th and Alice Pate 17th who secured third place for the B team. Emily Arding came 29th.
nFor the u11 boys, the team came third overall, with Harry Elliott 8th, Alex Olestsenko 12th and Alexander Dibben 13th. Seth Howard ran as a guest and came 4th, Alfred Macaulay 16th and Felix Humphries 20th.
nOther Winchester athletes which took part included:
nu13 boys - Daniel Instone 13th and Tom Pate 14th.
nu15 boys - Casper Wilson 2nd
nu17 men - Oscar Newbery 1st
nSM races - Franklyn Young 9th.
nWell done to all the athletes. The next event is on 30 October at Bryanston School. U11s please let me know if you wish to attend.
