Jess wins England call up for throws International

Jess Howells (Coach Andy Fisher) has had quite a 9 months and her progression continues as she wins an England U20 vest to go alongside her England U18 vest and England schools vest won last year.

Jess has just moved into the U20 age group and as such will be throwing the 600g javelin when she competes for England in the Vaxjo International in Sweden on Saturday the 1st February. The competition is an usual one in that it is held entirely indoors in a huge indoor facility constructed by the throws mad scandinavians to enable long throws to take place in the freezing winter months.

With the standards recently published for the Euro U20 champs in Finland, this is an opportunity for Jess to gain valuable International experience in one of the lands of the throws.
