Jasmine becomes first WADAC lady over 40m (hammer)

Jasmine Gordon (coach Martin McBriar) broke her own club record and in doing so became the first WADAC female to throw the 4kg hammer over 40m in competing as a higher claim athlete for City of Portsmouth AC in an NAL championship match on Saturday. Jasmine has been steadily improving throughout the season and extended her pb to 40.93m at Kings Park in Bournemouth. Jasmine also added points in shot putt and javelin.

Sam Clifton (coach Jeremy Clifton) was competing higher claim for Sale Harriers in the premiership of the NAL and threw the hammer over 50m to take 6th place in the Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham.

Abi Belward (coach Andy Fisher) finished in 12th place in the National U17 Combined Events champs in Manchester at the weekend including a pb in the sprint hurdles.
