Creating a News Blog Post

Reference: News Blog Categories - Which Pages Do They Display On?

There is one News blog for the whole web site. The pages for sections and competitions display a filered view of the news blog showing only posts that are relevant to their area. This is done by assigning one or more Categories in the settings for each blog post so that it displays on the relevant pages. See the video for how to assign categories.

NB If you are creating a post about fixtures, training events or any other calendar type items, use the category of Fixtures and/or Training so that they appear in the Events and Training page. You can attach a file to the post such as a fixtures flyer for the season.

Look at the Reference page about News Categories to see

• A list of all pages that have news list and the categories used to filter those lists on each page

• A list of all Categories and all the pages that each category displays on
